Pianist Ellen Meyer is a graduate of the Music Performance programme at the University of Toronto, studying with Pierre Souvairan and Jane Coop, and also attended the Banff Centre of Performing Arts.  A highly sought-after collaborative pianist known in particular for her interest in woodwind music, Ellen has recently presented recitals with clarinet virtuosi Julian Bliss and Ricardo Morales, and accompanied masterclasses by Karl Leister and Sabine Meyer.  She has performed across Canada, in Germany and in the U.S.A. (including Carnegie Hall) as a soloist, as a member of longstanding chamber ensembles and with numerous instrumentalists, vocalists, choral ensembles and orchestras.  As a chamber musician, she is a founding member of the Riverdale Ensemble (performing on modern instruments) and Ossia (on historical instruments).  She has been featured on CBC Radio and TV, Bravo! and MuchMusic; her numerous recording credits include 15 CDs to date, as well as soundtracks for feature films and documentaries.
